CLEOD Glass+Works Promise
CLEOD Glass+Works is a custom glass fabrication studio. We offer the customer service of a small studio and the capabilities of an international lighting company. Our skilled glass fabrication artisans create custom illumination and sculptural solutions for every space. We collaborate with architects, designers, and homeowners to produce aesthetically beautiful glass fixtures that exceed expectations.
We are a modern studio guided and inspired by the innovation of centuries of glass fabrication traditions. Our hands-on creative approach ensures quality craftsmanship through every step of our design and production process. Each piece reflects our mastery of creation techniques and our dedication to production excellence. CLEOD Glass+Works is led by Co-Founder and Creative Director James McCleod, whose 25 years of experience as an expert glass artisan informs his creative vision.
Every Custom Glass Creation Has a Story
There’s a story behind every custom glass object we create. It begins with a color, a drawing, a dream, or an inviting space. We bring personal visions to life, carefully considering our client’s ideas. We recognize that even the simplest idea can spark the ideal outcome.
We create sculptural glass using techniques that represent your design ideas and specifications. Through shaping, texturizing, and infusing vibrant colors, our process ultimately produces lighting fixtures that manipulate natural and artificial light.

James McLeod
Co-Founder + Creative Director
An expert artisan glassblower and visual artist, James is an industry-leading glass sculptor and award-winning designer. Over the past twenty years as an artist and teacher, James has brought his extraordinary talents into spaces around the world through his innovative glass lighting, sculpture, architecture, and decor. From single-family homes to corporate headquarters, from bistros to the Venice Biennale, James has refined his creative philosophy to emphasize artistic excellence, environmental conservation, and community engagement.
Libby McLeod
Co-Founder + Operations Director
Libby studied fine art and literature at Kenyon College and ceramics and fun at the University of Vermont. Over the last decade, Libby has been assisting James in the glass studio and collaborating on various projects and installations including a series of works in glass on display in conjunction with the 2024 Venice biennale. Her talents are wide ranging and her interest in sustainable glass practice are just beginning. Libby has 3 children and 2 dogs. She likes dance parties and baking gingerbread cookies. In her spare time Libby enjoys bike rides, surf trips and scary movies.
Adam Moore
Managing Director
With practices centered in our shared humanity and rooted in joy, Adam has been supporting people and places through change for more than twenty years. Supporting professional artists and craftspeople, he develops and implements policy, education, and training through community engagement: from boardrooms to classrooms, from workshop to shop, from changing culture to transforming a crisis. Adam specializes in guidance through moments and movements of transition. After fifteen years with SAG-AFTRA (the largest labor union in the world representing workers in entertainment, music, and news) leading all aspects of Equity & Inclusion, Adam joined CLEOD Glass + Works in 2022 and co-created Solar Sands Glassworks with James McLeod in 2023. Adam is a practicing coach, change navigator, globally recognized expert in trauma-informed, anti-harassment and discrimination practices and policies, and innovative advocate for full access and inclusion.
Tori Lancaster
General Manager
Tori’s journey into management began early, with a focus on nurturing start-up businesses for over six years. Her unique blend of business acumen and creative flair is evident in her approach, reflecting a deep-seated passion for the arts. Tori thrives on building strong, collaborative relationships, a quality that fuels her success in managing projects and teams alike. Tori brings a wealth of experience and passion to her role as Project Manager at CLEOD Glass + Works. With three years of dedicated service, Tori has been a part of CLEOD Glass + Works from its inception to its current standing, leveraging her background in Business and Hospitality from the College of Charleston.
Charlene Foster
Field Operations Manager
Charlene Foster represents the gold standard in glass chain making. A pioneer of the trend, she has been perfecting the art of flawless and seamless links since 2002. Charlene (aka Cha Cha) has collaborated with the best in the game, building a bridge between fine art, fashion and functional glass. Her work has been featured in numerous fashion publications as she artfully merges the world of bespoke high fashion and glass accessories. Charlene was hooked after her first exposure to glass making and immersed herself in formal studies at Penland School of Arts and Crafts, Pilchuck Glass School, and the Corning Museum of Glass in New York before settling in NYC in 2002 where she began working for Michael Davis Glass on the production crew for a line of Tiffany & Company vases. After years of refining her craft and teaching at Urban Glass in Brooklyn, an earlier stint assisting James McLeod led to Charlene joining CLEOD Glass + Works in 2024 to lead the build and install process. Featured in magazines, galleries and museums, nationwide, she owns and operates her own business creating custom jewelry and accessories.

At CLEOD Glass+Works, our artisans have specialized in custom glass fabrication and custom lighting commissions since 2017. We produce one-of-a-kind fixtures and glass lighting installations for architects, interior designers, and homeowners.
We are a team of highly-trained, professional glass designers and fabricators. Whether we’re working with an owner or a professional, we perform efficiently and deliver within the designated timeframe and budget. For clients who desire a more active role in finalizing the designs for their custom, one-of-a-kind illuminated glass sculptures, we offer optional prototyping and color sampling.
