Hear From Our Clients
I very much enjoyed working with the creative, nice people at Cleod Glassworks.
We would like to tell you and James how happy we are with the lights you designed, fabricated and installed for us. The process was both fun and easy, and our expectations were more than met by the finished project.
Feel free to use us as a reference.
We have had the opportunity to work closely with James McLeod, owner of Cleod Glassworks, Inc., for over a year in jointly collaborating a masterpiece of a glass sculpture chandelier for our personal residence. He is extremely creative, a visionary with superior intuitive thought processes, and incredibly skilled in designing unique and cutting edge glass sculptures! He possesses great attention to detail and precise implementation methods. We jointly collaborated on a vision of “cascading leaves with interior reeds” using a multitude of color ways, floating 12 feet inside our glass stairwell tower, mounted from a 150 pound metal armature with metal cables (which he designed) to support the weight of a 800 pound glass sculpture! It was a feat, not for the “faint of heart”, as he and the team, were on scaffolding 30 feet high while installing the sculpture over a four day period! It is quite a masterpiece, and he is capable of pushing the envelope over the edge of one’s vision and expectations! I enthusiastically recommend his quality of work, skill set, precise implementation, coordination of logistics, dependability and continued communication without a moment’s hesitation.
Expect the unexpected from James!!!
Working with James and his talented team is a designer’s dream. From the very start of our project together, the collaboration and communication were excellent. James and I dreamed up a stunning chandelier that serves as the showpiece for our project. James listened intently to all of my ideas and goals and translated them into reality. The Cleod team kept us in the loop throughout the process, often inviting us to the workshop to see the pieces in progress and create mockups. He worked with our project team throughout the process, collaborating with the architect (Tim Curtis) to ensure the proper support was in place, and seamlessly coordinating with our site team and carpenters on install day.
It was a pleasure watching the process unfold and I would highly recommend collaborating with James on a custom lighting project. It will surely result in a one-of-a-kind showpiece for your home.
